Sasolburg achieves another first in 2018.

Fakkel School of Skills is fast earning a reputation of being one of the strongest esports schools in South Africa.

Since the inception of the esports club at the school, the club has grown in size, regularly participates in a number of provincial championships and has taken provincial titles in Free State, Gauteng, North West, KwaZulu Natal, and Mpumalanga.

The club too boasts of having Protea Team members in both 2017 and 2018.

Through the efforts of the club,  the Free State saw the first ever esports international online test match being hosted by Fakkel School of Skills in the Free State on 23 June 2018.

Now there is another first.

Fakkel School is the first school in the Free State to host the South African National School Championships on 28 and 29 July 2018.

It is at MSSA's South African National School Championships that learners shall be able to earn the much coveted SA National High School Colours.

To assist all member clubs, Fakkel School of Skills shall be providing accommodation as follows:
  • Bed with bedding - R140.00 per person per night
  • Bed without bedding - R120.00 per person per night
  • Breakfast with cereal - R50.00 per person per day
  • Breakfast without cereal - R40.00 per person per day
  • Light lunch (eg. spaghetti bolognaise) - R40.00 per person per day 
  • Supper (cooked) - R60.00 per person per day 
  • Supper (light, eg. fish and salad or chips) - R50.00 per person per day
  • Food parcel - R40.00 per person per day
