Sahil Ebrahim of PES Society elected as MSSA's Western Cape Provincial Director.

 


PES Society, based in Cape Town, and specializing in the Pro Evolution Soccer game title by Konami, was welcomed into the ranks of member clubs in February 2020. PES Society immediately began to make its mark in official South African competitions by totally dominating the PES esports title.

Not only proving himself to be a more than able competitor, a good sportsman, Sahil Ebrahim demonstrated time-and-time again his exceptional administrative skills. 
Sahil is a dedicated individual, who  is currently president of PES Society, and is highly enthusiastic about the future of eSports in an emerging market such as South Africa.

"PES Society," stated Amanda Kwaza,"Is without doubt the best run club in the country, and it takes its lead from Sahil Ebrahim".
The position of Provincial Director is a vital position for the growth and development of all the different games under MSSA's jurisdiction.
Provincial Directors have a term of two years and are responsible for the following:
  • Liaison with Provincial Sports Councils, and
  • Liaison with Provincial Departments of Sport and Culture, and
  • Responsible for the running and organisation of all Provincial competitions and championships, and
  • Consult with all member clubs within their province concerning any changes made to the Calendar of Events and the hosting of such, and
  • Selection of Provincial Teams, and
  • Organization of Interprovincial Competitions and Test Matches.

Sahil is very upbeat about his election to the position and stated, " I find myself constantly striving to combine my passion for I.T,, Football and gaming to make a tangible change in the eSports sector."

All MSSA is confident that under Sahil's guiding hand, the Western Cape will develop as never before.
