Silumko Mgebisa is performing well at the 2025 BRICS Esports Championiships for the Tekken 8 esports title having progressed  from the group stage to move into the difficult  quarter finals.

There are no easy games in this championship with two athletes from18 countries being present.

On 9 September 2026, Mind Sports South Africa's Protea Esports Team for the Tekken 8 title joyfully departed OR Tambo for the BRICS Esports Championship 2026.

The BRICS Esports Championship 2026 features Tekken 8 as its main title, with top players representing South Africa on the international stage at the VK Play Arena in Moscow, Russia.
