The event will be the first public contact with Dreamhack Rio, on April 17 at the Marriot Copacabana hotel.

Those who follow the Esports scene are well aware that the Rio Esport Forum, an event that happened last year in April, was the real responsibility for Dreamhack Rio being possible this year. It was at this event that Arturo Castelo, Director of Dreamhack Spain, stated that it was possible to do the festival in Rio. On April 17, two days before DreamHack Rio begins, Brazil Esport Forum will have one more edition, but this time on a national level, with the presence of great authorities at the Marriot hotel in Copacabana.

The agenda includes topics such as:

• "The competitive landscape in Brazil and its challenges", 
• "Esports in public policy in Brazil", 
• "The mobile and the future of Esports" and many other. 

The event will last from 9am until 6:30 p.m. The closing topic will be: "Dreamhack and the esports ecosystem in Brazil," which will give a taste of the largest sports festival in the world which will be held between April 19 and 21 at the Olympic Park in Barra da Tijuca.

The Brazil Esport Forum is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to enter the esports market in Brazil. Not to mention that it will be a differential for those who seek to network and want to be alongside great entrepreneurs of the Brazilian game scene.

IeSF dispatches delegate to Brazil

IeSF, being  the only association of member national federations that are recognised by National Olympic Committees (NOC), continually attempts to help federations attain full NOC recognition.

Such policy falls clearly within the ambit of getting esports accredited not only as an established sport, but as an Olympic sport.

So far, IeSF has 21 member federations that are already recognised in there own countries as an official sport.

In Brazil, the IeSF shall participate at the Opening Ceremony of the Finals of the Brazilian eSports Championship at Rio2016 Casa Brasil CBDEL/LNEe Lounge, participate in a round table of discussion with Ministry of Sport, Sports Compliance from IOC, Secretary of Sports of Brasil, Secretary of Educational Sports of Brasil, and the President of the Brazilian eSports Federation (CBDEL - Confederação Brasileira do Desporto Eletrônico). 

All talks and discussions shall  be done at Casa Brasil Rio2016. 

Just like in South Africa, the Brazilian esports  team  is the only official Brazilian National eSports Team, and just like any team in the Olympics, represents their country as other National sporting codes do.
