Esports: National Team Trials 2018

2017 BOO! National Protea Esports team.

MSSA hereby announces that it shall be hosting the 2018 National Team Trials in Gauteng at Vereeniging Gimnasium on the 2^nd and 3^rd of July, 2018. Please note that National Team Trials are not a championship. A link to the location is below:

The event will take place on two separate days and will require players to bring their own PC and peripherals.

Only players who have qualified in MSSA events shall be allowed to enter team trials.

Registration will cost R64.00 per player.

The Documents required are as follows:

• Copy of South African Passport.
• Signed Senior or Junior Contract (Please note a parent or guardian will need to sign if the player is under 18 years of age).
• Unabridged Birth Certificate for players under the age of 18
• Players need to be entered on their club drive page and clubs may start putting qualified members on from the 23^rd of April, 2018
• Registration dates close on the 25^th of May, 2018. Please send all relevant documents to mindsportscorrespondence@gmail.com

Please note all clubs will need to enter via google drive and submitted all relevant documentation before the event, otherwise Players will not be permitted to play on the day. Please feel free to email the MSSA if you have any queries regarding this.  

National team trials shall begin at 09H00 and end at 18H00. Umpires will be there on the day to assist with any queries you might have.

On the road to Kaohsiung City.

The three players who have represented SA for Tekken - (l-r) Lyrene Kühn, Morizane Boyes, and  Alasdair Donaldson.

With International Esports Federation (IESF) having announced that the esports title Tekken 7 is going to be played at its 10th World Championships in Kaohsiung City, Registered Players will no doubt be honing their skills in order to see just who will make the team.

Only one player shall be selected to represent South Africa at IESF's 10th World Championships - Kaohsiung City.

MSSA's Protea Tekken 7 players have established them as tough international players and are instrumental in South Africa currently being ranked 12th in the world.

It will be more than interesting to see who is selected for the 2018 Protea Tekken 7 Esports Team.
