Fuga Dracones (Hoërskool Wonderboom) fends off assault from Westville.

Hoërskool Wonderboom

During the week of 22 to 26 May 2017 Fuga Dracones (Hoërskool Wonderboom) successfully fended off an assault on their position by Westville Boys' High School in the League of Legends esports Ladder.

Westville Boys' High Schools one of the most active teams in the Ladder and are renown for how quickly their teams have climbed up all thee various MSSA Ladders.

Nevertheless, Fuga Dracones held off the challenge to successfully maintain their position as being ranked 4th in the senior ladder and 1st in the school's ladder.

Gen Nightwalkers (Generation X) also moved up significantly. Gen Nightwalkers has shot up to 11th place in the senior ladder.

The title 'League of Legends' played MSSA's 7th Online School Provincial Championships played on 11 February 2017, saw an increase in participants.

Even with an increase in the number of participants, the team 'Fuga Dracones' of Hoërskool Wonderboom dominated the event from start to finish.

None could stand in their way and all the teams before them crumbled.

At the end of the championships the team had won each and every game that they had played, which has earned Keagan Foster, Henco Joubert, Nicholas Muller, Jaco Swanepoel, Reinhardt Gericke the right to wear Gauteng School Provincial Colours.

The players in the top three teams have also earned their spots in MSSA's 2017 National Team Trials which shall be held in June 2017, and shall be used to select the Protea eSports Team that shall represent South Africa at IeSF's 9th World Championships.
