Enforcing transformation.

Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) has not only fought continuously for the bodies to which it is affiliated to have greater good governance and to be transparent. Thus MSSA is always willing to stand up and be counted. Whether it is MSSA standing up to SASCOC or its international federations, MSSA always attempts to do the 'right' thing

However, MSSA also always attempts to improve on itself as well.

It would be hypocrytical of MSSA to stand up to others and not look at itself deeply in the mirror, and always aim at doing better and not try to improve on itself.

Thus MSSA now allows all of its Provincial Directors to sit on its Management Board (MANCOM). Through sitting on MANCOM it is hoped that the Provincial Directors will have a better understanding of the work done by MANCOM and the decisions reached.

Though such openness, it is hoped that the Provincial Directors will be further inspired, and will help MSSA reach new heights as MSSA ploughs forward in developing all of the disciplines and games of which it it custodian.

Nominations required for Provincial Directors

For events to happen, officials are needed.
As stated previously, one of the most important positions within MSSA is that  of the Provincial Director. The Provincial Director is the person that ensures that there is an  effective foot print within the province.
What with many of the registered players who were standing for positions as Provincial Director having won positions on MSSA's Management Board, and what with MSSA not allowing Registered Players to hold more  than one position, many of the Provincial Directorships are once again available.

Not only is the Provincial Director responsible for MSSA's 'footprint', but the Provincial Director is also:

  • The Tournament Director for MSSA's provincial  championships, and
  • The manager for the provincial  team.

The term of office shall be from the day of election until the 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Thus the following positions are available for any Registered Player who wishes to stand:

Province
Eastern Cape Provincial Director
Free State Provincial Director
Gauteng Provincial Director
Limpopo Provincial Director
Northern Cape Provincial Director
North West Provincial Director
Western Cape Provincial Director

Please note that only Registered Players may stand for the position in the province in which  they live.

Closing dates for nominations is 15 January 2017.
