Angelique is co-opted onto MSSA's Management Board.

On 5 April 2018 it was reported that Team Valkyrie's captain Angelique “Scarlet” Ramos was appointed by MSSA's Management Committee to serve on MSSA's Esports Board of Control.
However, impressed by Angelique's work ethic, dedication to the sport, ability to motivate others, MSSA's Management Committee has now taken the bold step of co-opting Angelique to the position of Esports Representative.
The Esports Representative chairs the Esports Board of Control and represents such Board of Control on MSSA's Management Committee.

There is a great deal of work and responsibility associated with the position, but the entire MSSA Management Board is right behind the youngest ever such appointee. Angelique is also the first female to hold this position in the history of MSSA. Her predecessors are none other than luminaries such as: Rob Stevens (2005), Johann von Backström (2006 - 2008), Dr Ryan van den Bergh (2009 - 2011), David Webster (2011 - 2012), Ryan Boyes (2014 - 2018).

But who is Angelique? For the few who do not know, Angelique has been in the League of Legends scene for some time now, competing in Championships for at least 2 years and has not only earned her Provincial Colours but also earned her Protea Colours as part of the squad that took on Tunisia in 2017.

There is no doubt that Angelique is a shining star in the League of Legends community and has shown great determination to become one of the best female sportswomen to come out of South Africa. Angelique’s knowledge of esports and her competitive nature has secured herself as a major force in South African esports.
Angelique’s “never-give-up” attitude makes her the perfect member of MSSA's Management Board as she deals with various issues relating to the good governance of esports in South Africa.

What it means to be a competitor in Team Valor of Club Valhalla.

Team Valor was raised from the ground by the ever busy, encouraging, tough love manager Angelique “Scarlet” Ramos, partnering with the caring, kind, always has the best advice Jade “Jadai” Thomas. In the eyes of the team, they truly founded the best organization any lady gamer could hope for, called Club Valhalla, which has created a comfortable gaming space for all females in esports.

Team Valor began in August 2017, and have relentlessly been attending practice, coaching sessions and putting in the effort, at first, not to win, but to improve.

Each one of of the team members has conquered a valuable lesson which can be applied to both gaming as well as to their lives outside the fantasy world of League of Legends. Some of the training Team Valor has received from Club Valhalla is, better team communication, online etiquette, conflict resolution, team roles and teamwork, and most importantly they've learned to respect one another.

Due to the nature of the game Team Valor has developed an absolute need to keep on encouraging each other and pushing each other forward in order to better themselves as gamers and as people.The team listens, they understand, they care and they help. Team members uplift each other's spirits, they make jokes, they're serious, they are sisters!

The team has realized their journey is to learn how to fall, really well, so they can soar even better. Along the way they’ve met some talented team members which have been nurtured into amazing friendships.

All members of the team are thankful for having met each other, and look forward to a brighter tomorrow filled with competing in MSSA championships, hard work and finally some epic victories.
