Adele Janse van Rensburg (GenX) - 2017 Mind Sports Person of the Year.

Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) awards its Management Board Awards to derserving individuals who have given their best to the growth and development of mind sports in South Africa.

Thus the individuals who have received the award in the past read as a veritable 'Who's Who".

The closing date for 2018's nominations was 15 October 2018, and nominations were received from a number of member clubs that wish to see affiliated players and sponsors rewarded for their contribution over the past year.

MSSA's Management Board Awards were started in 2009.

Even though some of the individuals honoured in the past have moved on to further their prospects in business, Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) shall always fondly remember the winners and the incredible contribution that they made to the various mind sports in South Africa..

Some have become even more involved.

Now that the nominations are in, MSSA's Management Board shall deliberate over such nominations in order to present such awards at MSSA's Annual General Meeting on 1 December 2018.

The categories are:

• Volunteer of the Year 
• Writer of the Year 
• Sponsor of the Year

FEES: 2016/2017 GAMING YEAR

MSSA registration and affiliation fees are due and payable on the 1^st of November of each year.

Please note that if your club has an SLA for an event after the year-end (31 October 2016), such club must pay its affiliation fees and pay its registration fees for all its committee members by no later than 7 November 2016. Should such club fail to do so, such SLA shall be vitiated.

In order for any player to stand for any office, all such person's fees must be paid at the same time that such person is nominated.

Please note that other members that do not remit payment by 1 February 2016 shall have their affiliation terminated and their members shall not be allowed to participate in Mind Sport South Africa's events or team selection.

Members may only participate in a MSSA meeting if such member is fully-paid-up at the time of such meeting.

The fees for the 2016/2017 gaming year (1 November 2016 to 31 October 2017) are:

Affiliation fees per club			R100.00 per annum
Registration fees:	Registered with MSSA		R95.00 per player
	Players who are members of school clubs		R 5.00 per player

Please note that Registration Fees may be waived by the Management Board should a player have reached the age of majority and is unemployed, or if the player is a minor and his/her parents are unemployed.

Please note that the voting strength that any member has at the AGM in December is based on the paid-up membership of such member at the date of the AGM.
