SAHETI has obtained a victory by exerting vigorous efforts.

SAHETI dominates both the Premier and Schools' rankings for DotA 2.

SAHETI has not only taken pole-position in MSSA's official rankings for DotA 2 on a senior level, but has also further cemented their position as the top school Dota 2 team.

As per the changes mentioned in the article "Radical changes made for seedings", all games played at any official Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) championship between school teams now count for ranking purposes, even if the game is played in a  senior event.

Thus all the games played between schools at Mind Sports South Africa's (MSSA) 37th Gauteng Provincial Championships count towards the official rankings in both the senior and schools' rankings.

It is always most gratifying to see a school team dominate both the school and premier rankings.

It will be interesting to see, what happens at the Western Cape Championships that are to be held on 23 & 24 March 2019 at Curro Durbanville.

Although Paul Roos Gimnasium wins, SAHETI takes rankings.

Oh sing Thespian Muses of the valour of SAHETI blessed by the goddess Arete.

SAHETI has a proud tradition in esports. Having developed Gabriella Isaacs who served in MSSA's 2012 Protea Esports Team at IeSF's 4th World Championships - Cheonan, and is the only South African to have earned a silver medal at IESF's World championships, the school has consistently maintained a high standard.

Thus at MSSA's 9th Online Schools' Provincial Championships played on 9 February 2018, SAHETI again entered a team of high quality into the DotA 2 esports title.

Going into the third round unbeaten, SAHETI faced off against the indomitable Paul Roos Gimnasium DotA 2 team. The match was indeed hard fought and ended up with Paul Roos Gimnasium snatching victory to end the championship having won all their games.

Nevertheless, such was the standard of play by SAHETI, and although finishing in second place, the team has managed to finish in second place, the team has managed to finish in pole position in the rankings.

However, in the third round, the 'Spartans A' faced their old adversaries, and 2nd seed, Parklands College. The contest between the two ended in a draw, which left the result of the championship uncertain.

Can SAHETI match Rondebosch Boys' record?

SAHETI dominated the game of CounterStrike:: GO in the 2017 On-line Inter-school Provincial Championships.

In 2015 and 2016, Rondebosch Boys' High School dominated MSSA's Online Esports School Provincial Championships for the CounterStrike: GO title, and is the only school to have won the championship more than once.

The Rondebosch Boys team went on to produce two members of the 2016 Protea Esports Team that attended IESF's 8th World Championships - Jakarta, namely Jessie Joubert and Simon Zandstra.

However, in 2017,there was  a dramatic changing of the guard. Rondebosch did not feature, and SAHETI, Parklands College and Cedar House grabbed the top three positions.

The question is now whether SAHETI can maintain their winning form.

Like any other sport, teams need to have depth in terms of players in order to maintain their standards.

The results for MSSA's 2017 Online Esports School Provincial Championships for the CounterStrike: GO title are:
