Terrance Broomberg (Curro Aurora) heads the Clash Royale rankings.

2019 has seen the first year of the esports title Clash Royale being played at MSSA's official Provincial and National Championships.

The first event at which the title was was played, was MSSA's 9th Online Schools' Provincial Championships as played on 9 February 2019.

The championship was hard fought, with 
Terrance Broomberg (Curro Aurora) having taken an early lead. However, Dale Spolonader and Liam Moodley, both of Northcliff High School, although having a  slow start, were hot on Terrance's lead. In round 4, Liam forced Terrance to a draw, and in round 5, Dale Spolander, in a gruelling match, earned a hard fought victory over Terrance.
