Results of 37th Gauteng Provincial Championships - 23 & 24 February 2019

Team 'Eagles' (Level 1 Gaming) having earned Provincial Colours in the League of Legends esports title.
Mind Sports South Africa' (MSSA) 37th Gauteng Provincial Championships were held on 23 & 24 February 2019 at Curro Aurora.

Curro Aurora proved to be an excellent host. The school's facilities ere 'top drawer' and the championship ran without a hitch.

The championship itself was well attended with players participating from Eastern Cape, Free State, Mpumalanga, and Western Cape. The players represented 16 different clubs. The event thus again re-inforced the Gauteng Championships' status of being the championship at where to be.

At  the championship itself, 33 players were awarded senior provincial colours and 82 participants received medals for their acheievents.

As a result, there are a number of players that are making a bid for selection for a national squad.

The competition will, no doubt, intensify as the date of selection (30 May 2019) draws ever nearer.
