Important notice apropos CS update.

The CounterStrike: GO esports title remains a dynamic game, largely due to the publishers and their ability to continually update the game in order to improve its playability.

Thus with the latest update, the 'Nuke' map has had a number of changes.

As a result, MSSA officials have quickly conferred with IESF and PGL officials in order to obtain expert opinion in order to ensure that MSSA's 8th Online Inter-School Championships on 10 February 2018 still delivers the best possible results.

Thus MSSA's Esports Board of Control has instructed the umpires selected for MSSA's 8th Online Inter-School Championships to not allow the use of the 'Nuke' map for MSSA's 8th Online Inter-School Championships.

Such instruction shall only be enforced for MSSA's 8th Online Inter-School Championships, and shall be reviewed for MSSA's Gauteng Provincial Championships which are to be played on 24 and 25 February 2018.

MSSA's 7th On-line Inter-School Provincial Championships

Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) has scheduled its 7th On-line Inter-School Provincial Championships to be held on Saturday, 11 February 2017.

MSSA shall decide  at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 4 December 2016 as to which games shall be played, but it is thought that the games that are used at IeSF's World Championships shall once again be the highlight at such championships.

The championship too is the start of MSSA's 2017 season, and will see the many schools that are affiliated to MSSA battle it out for supremacy.

The 6th Online Inter-School Championship proved to  be a  great deal of fun.

Competition was held in seven titles, with 29 schools from 7 provinces participating in such event.

Interestingly, the 2016 championship enabled 44 players qualify for the 2016 National Team Trials of which 10 of the players were selected to represent South Africa as part of the South African Protea eSports team in 4 different titles.
