Vlad Marinescu joins IESF’s Board.

International Esports Federation’s Board, desirous of actively pursuing its ambitions as the sole International Federation for esports has co-opted Vlad Marinescu.

Vlad Marinescu, currently
President of United States eSports Federation, served as the former Director of International Judo Federation, and then made his mark in international sport as the Former Director General of SportAccord (GAISF). While holding such position in SportAccord, Vlad installed and monitored recognition application process for recognition of International Federations, creation and operation of various Multi- SportGames, managed the full-operations of organization, all programs and platforms, and organized multiple World Championships.

IESF believes that its true assets are its member federations and those dedicated individuals that serve them.

Vlad therefore brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the IESF’s Board. As such the Board is confident that IESF will meet the goals in being accredited by Global Association of International Sports Federations(GAISF).

KontrolFreek are proud to announce the KontrolFreek Collegiate eSports Scholarship Program!

KontrolFreek is giving $20,000 in scholarship money to 10 college eSports players for the 2016/2017 academic year.
Since KontrolFreek was founded in 2009, KontrolFreek has been a strong supporter of professional eSports. KontrolFreek is also known for helping gamers of all levels get a leg up over the competition.
There are currently thousands of college eSports players in North America, alone, and we wanted to find a way to help them pursue their passion.
So, with that in mind, KontrolFreek wanted to make it as easy as possible for players to apply for and be eligible for the scholarship. KontrolFreek’s Collegiate eSports scholarship is the first of its kind for some simple reasons. We’ll break it down for you: 
-       Any Gamer
-       Any Game 
It’s just that simple. The KontrolFreek Scholarship is available to any player currently competing on a collegiate level on behalf of their university. League of Legends? Sure! Hearthstone? No problem! Call of Duty? Bring it on.
In order to be considered, applicants need prove that they are members of a collegiate eSports team and plan to continue their education for another year. After that, we’ll take a look at grade point average, extracurricular activities, awards and honors, personal goals and some other stuff.
Applications are now open for the KontrolFreek Collegiate eSports Scholarship, and we’re accepting applications now through May 2, 2016, or until we receive 100 applications, so hurry before applicant space fill up!
