Not
many Africans will be present at the sponsored IeSF's 7th World
Championships in Seoul (2 to 5 December 2015). It is largely felt
that due to the dominance of both Europe and Asia, that many African
states do not even try to contest the championships.
However,
while there may be an element of truth in the above statement, it is
not true for the HearthStone® title.
In
2014, without warning, young Ahmed Ben Messaoud
from Tunisia swept away all opposition to become the IeSF's
2014 HearthStone® World
Champion. Needless to say, the entire eSports community was shocked.
However,
MSSA is confident that it has an answer to Ahmed
Ben Messaoud in the form of Pretiorian
Wynand 'ViViD' Meiring.
Wynand
is without doubt one of the top cyber-athletes in South Africa. He
has a distinguished career in DotA 2 as well as in HearthStone®
having earned himself Gauteng Provincial Colours, South African
National Colours, and now Protea Colours.
Even
though new packs of cards have been released just before the World
championships, Wynand has the mental dexterity to take it all in his
stride.
For
Wynand, there is no hurdle to big, and MSSA is right behind him, MSSA
could not be prouder.
