Leonard Loftus - MSSA's Free State Provincial Director

During his co-opted period as MSSA's Vice President for Development in 2016, Leonard aimed to grow Mind Sports in the Northern Free State as well as the Vaal Triangle and was successful in bringing Masters of Mind Sports, Fakkel School, Affies Sasolburg, and North West University (Vaal Triangle Campus) on board.

Many of the players from this area also achieved their Regional, High School Provincial and Provincial Colours in 2016.

Six players from this area also obtained their National Federation Colours at the SA Championships in December'2016. 

Leonard is no newcomer to sport.

With more than twenty years experience in the administration of sports like Freshwater Angling and Martial Arts - Karate, Leonard is used to the inner workings of sport. 

The new challenge will be to promote, develop and grow Inter-Provincial matches to improve and refine the skills of the gamers in each Province and SA in general. Leonard looks forward to assist MSSA in achieving this objective. 

1st Fezile Dabi Regional Championship - a success!

Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) is dedicated to development.

Thus MSSA has a programme of hosting championships in as many of South Africa's regions as possible.

Clubs are encouraged to buy-into the programme by hosting the events and to profit from such events through earning entrance fees, obtaining press, and discovering new members.

The most recent of the Regional Championships was the 1st Fezile Dabi Regional Championship was hosted by Fakkel School, Sasolburg on 14 & 15 May 2016

Leonard Loftus of the club, Masters of eSport, excelled himself by running a top-class event.

The event had 61 contestants battle it out to see who would walk away with Regional  Colours and the eligibility to enter the National Team Trials.
