MSSA National Team Trials IESF Game Titles - 15 March 2025

 



Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) has announced the date of its 
National Team Trials to be 15 March 2025. Such National Team Trials (NTT) shall be used to select the team to participate in IESF's 16th World Championships (WEC).

It should be noted that Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) shall be holding such NTT online

However, players can play online with the following provision:
  1. Players in the same team entered from the same province shall play from the same venue, and
  2. Players in the same team from different provinces may play from different provinces, and
  3. Players participating in individual titles (1v1) from the same club and who reside in the same province shall play from the same venue, and
  4. All venues must have a club member in attendance.
MSSA shall select the highest placed team and/or individual based on:
  1. Confirmation to attend events (test matches and other matches), and,
  2. Clearance from stimulants.
All Registered Players who have qualified at MSSA's Regional, and/or Provincial, and/or National Championships are cordially invited to enter.

To have qualified, a Registered Player shall have:
  • Have finished in the top three places, or top 20% (whichever is greater), in a Provincial or National Championship, and/or
  • Have won a Regional Championship, and/or
  • Have won a Derby event, and or
  • Have represented South Africa in an international championship in 2024.
The following titles shall be played at the 2025 National team Trials to be held on 15 March 2025:
  • Counter-Strike 2
  • Dota 2
  • eFootball
  • Mobile Legends, Bang, Bang
  • PUBG Mobile
The conditions for entry are as follows:

  1. Entry is R100.00 per Registered Player.
  2. Only fully-paid-up Registered Players may participate in this event.
  3. Entries for National Team Trials must be submitted by midnight on 14 March 2025.
  4. To enter, the club must complete the Google Drive document.

  6. Clubs are to download the entry form, complete the downloaded form, and e-mail it to Mind Sports South Africa at mindsportscorresspondence@gmail.com
  7. Players making themselves eligible for selection, shall submit copies of their valid Passports with their other documentation to the National Team Manager upon meeting the above criteria for selection.

The Documents required are as follows:
  • Copy of South African Passport.
  • Signed Senior or Junior Contract (Please note a parent or guardian will need to sign if the player is under 18 years of age).
  • Copy of an Unabridged Birth Certificate for players under the age of 18
While National team trials shall begin at 10H00 and end at 18H00, Registered Players shall be online at 9H00. MSSA officials will be on duty all day to assist with any queries you might have.

Official Game Titles for 2025 IESF WEC25


International Esports Federation (IESF) has confirmed the official game titles for the 2025 IESF Season. The WEC25 will feature five of the most popular Esports titles:

  • Counter-Strike 2,
  • Dota 2,
  • eFootball™ series,
  • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and
  • PUBG MOBILE.

2025 marks the third consecutive year that IESF has maintained the same lineup, reflecting the consistency and popularity of these titles in the World of Esports.

With 136 member federations organizing National Qualifiers, the road to the 2025 IESF Season is set to be bigger and more competitive than ever. Around the world, national tournaments are already underway, as each federation seeks to crown their nation’s champions who will go on to compete at the highest level.

Igor Nedeski, Esports Manager at IESF, said: “We are proud to continue our collaboration with leading game publishers to ensure the highest quality of competition for the 2025 season. The excitement among athletes is already incredible as they prepare to represent their nations on the grand stage. This year, we anticipate an even higher level of competition as teams and players push the boundaries of Esports.”

The 17th edition of the IESF Season will not only highlight the competitive excellence of esports athletes but also reinforce IESF’s commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and fair play within the Esports ecosystem.

Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) has participated in every IESF World Championship since the inception of the World Championships in 2009.

Players registered with MSSA may qualify for National Team Trials (NTT) in MSSA events that have been held for one Calendar Year before the National Team Trials are held.

La famille de E-Sport au Bénin s'est réunie en Assemblée générale constitutive dans la matinée du samedi 15 février 2025 à l'auditorium de l'Institut Français de Cotonou ex CCF. Regroupant les délégués des différentes associations venues de plusieurs départements du Bénin, les travaux qui ont connu la présence du Directeur du Sport d'Élite (DSE) Bonaventure Coffi Codjia, du Fernando Hessou le Secrétaire général du Comité National Olympique et Sportif Béninois et de Lionel Briand le Directeur de l'Institut Français de Cotonou, ont conduit à l'élection d'un bureau exécutif dirigé par Médard Djékété.

 

« Tout seul on va plus vite, ensemble on va plus loin »: Dixit un proverbe africain. Et les acteurs des sports électroniques au Bénin l'ont compris. Au nombre de dix associations, elles sont données la main pour hisser haut le Bénin sur le plan des sports électroniques. Fier de voir une jeunesse engagée pour le développement d'une nouvelle discipline Sport, le Directeur des Sports d'Élite du ministère des sports, Bonaventure Coffi Codjia a réaffirmé aux délégués, le soutien indéfectible du ministère des sports pour le développement des sports électroniques avant d'inviter les délégués a opté pour le développement du E-Sport à travers des élections transparentes pour avoir des hommes et femmes compétents, soucieux d'un meilleur devenir du E-Sport.


Ainsi après l'adoption des statuts et règlements, les délégués ont procédé à l'élection des membres du tout premier bureau exécutif de la Fédération Béninoise des Sports Électroniques (FBSE) avec au poste de président, Médard Djékété de l'association Afrigamers. Heureux de bénéficier de la confiance de l'ensemble des délégués, le président Médard Djékété a remercié l'ensemble des partenaires ainsi que le ministère des sports et le Comité National Olympique et Sportif Béninois avant de déclarer :« Je suis heureux d'être à la tête de cette fédération. Nous allons nous mettre à la tâche afin de révéler le Bénin sur la carte du gaming mondial ». 


Le Secrétaire général du Comité National Olympique et Sportif Béninois , Fernando Hessou a félicité les délégués au nom du président Julien Minavoa avant d'inviter au rassemblement de la famille des sports électroniques du Bénin. Il poursuit son intervention en invitant la nouvelle fédération a s'affilée à une fédération internationale qui est reconnue par le Comité International Olympique. Rappelons que le bureau exécutif de la Fédération Béninoise des Sports Électroniques est composé de treize membres dont une dame, Nahomie Durand qui est la responsable chargée de la mobilisation du sport féminin.

Pristina to Host IESF European Esports Championship 2025


While Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) and other African members eagerly await the details of AEC25, International Esports Federation (IESF) has announced that the European Esports Championship 2025 will be hosted in Pristina in partnership with the Esports Federation of Kosovo, with the support of the Government and the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Sports. This event will bring together over 250 athletes, marking a significant moment for the Esports community in the region and across Europe.

The European Esports Championship will feature top-tier competition in CS2 Open, CS2 Women, and Dota 2, as athletes battle for a chance to represent their nations on the world stage. This event, set to take place in July, promises to be a celebration of Esports excellence, uniting national teams and showcasing the rising talent from across the continent.

“The European Esports Championship is a key moment for Esports in Europe, and we are delighted to bring it to Pristina. The Esports Federation of Kosovo has demonstrated its commitment to the development of competitive gaming, and we are confident that this event will be a fantastic experience for athletes, fans, and the wider Esports community.” - stated Boban Totovski, General Secretary of IESF.

President Altin Preniqi, Esports Federation of Kosovo, also shared his excitement for the event: “Bringing the European Esports Championship to Kosovo is a tremendous milestone for our Esports community. With the support of our government and the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Sports, we are ready to showcase our nation’s passion for Esports and provide a world-class stage for Europe’s best athletes. This event is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of Esports and a chance to inspire the next generation.”

The Esports Federation of Kosovo, as the official event organizer, will oversee the successful execution of this event, ensuring a world-class experience for all participants and fans. With Esports rapidly growing in the region, this championship will further cement its role as a key player in the World of Esports.

Beyond its competition, this event holds deep national pride and importance. It represents an achievement in the region’s Esports journey, demonstrating its capability to host international tournaments. The championship will inspire future generations of gamers while promoting community engagement, economic opportunities, and worldwide recognition.

The IESF European Esports Championship 2025 will not only be a crucial step towards the 2025 Season but will also serve as a milestone in Esports development across Europe.
