School league - Round 1 rankings for CounterStrike: GO

Parktown Boys' and Westville Boys' have shown the two largest percentage increases in seeding points earned.

Results for Mind Sports South Africa's Online School League for the week ending 28 July 2017 have produced some interesting results.

The schools that actively participated during the year in MSSA's provincial LAN championships, online provincial championships, and Ladder games are now reaping the benefit of their participation.

With schools participating in more competition games than ever before, it is clear to see that the average standard has improved hand-over-fist.

The improved average standard bodes well for future years as the growth and development at school level will  ultimately strengthen andd improve South Africa's National Protea Esports Team.

None of the esports game title are as hotly contested as is the CounterStrike: GO game title.

It is Mind Sports South Africa's belief that all development starts at school level where, under suitable supervision, the teams can learn to play together and improve the overall standard of play.

CAeS announces seeding points for Namibian/South African Test Match.

On Saturday, 29 July 2017 at 14HOO a test match between South Africa (MSSA) and Namibia (NeSA) was played to the esports title of FIFA '17 .

DotA 2 rankings as at 25 February 2017

SAHETI's DotA 2 team - now ranked 2nd in the country.

As previously mentioned, the seeding points earned by teams can be viewed as an accurate assessment of where a team stands.

The team with the highest seeding is thus ranked first for all MSSA championships - that is until the next ranking is produced.

It is indeed heartwarming to see the young SAHETI team force its way to become the 2nd ranked DotA 2 team in the country.

Well done SAHETI!

The rankings (as shown below) produced after MSSA's Gauteng Provincial Championships shall be the rankings used at MSSA's 2017 North West Provincial LAN Championships.

However, after the 2017 North West Provincial LAN Championships new rankings shall be dertermined for the  Provincial Online Championships to  be held on 22 April 2017.

Team People Really Organised (PRO)

The litmus test of any championship remains the seedings of the various teams.
Seedings are absolutely objective and devoid of all sentiment. The points are determined purely on the actual performance of the team.

As such the seeding points earned are an important measure to clubs to take stock, and this in turn improves competitive nature of the various teams.

Four teams benefitted more than most at the Gauteng Provincial Championships. All four teams entered the championships as unseeded and unranked teams, but through skillful play improved beyond expectation. Such teams are:
