Mind Sports South Africa's 2018 National Team Trials for Board games (checkers and morabaraba) and wargames was  held on the weekend of 5 May 2018 as hosted by JCS Academy in Vaal Park, Sasolburg.

The event was administrated by the National Selectors under  the  guidance of the chairman of the Selection Committee, Garth Schoeman, who ensured that all the participants were tested to to the 'nth' degree.

The National Team Manager, Joseph Matlhong, was also in attendance and was seen to be interviewing all the hopefuls.

All that now remains is for the National Selection Committee to make their selection for the international championships that lie ahead.
