Colin Webster served as President of Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) from 1985 to 2013. Since 2013, Colin has served as MSSA's General Secretary. MSSA ran its first esports championships in 1998, and has since then run esports events every single year. It was through MSSA's efforts that esports became an accredited sport in South Africa in 2005. Colin was also incvolved in the founding of Confederation of African Esports in 2008, where he served as President from 2008 until 2013. In 2013, Colin stood down to accept the role of Secretary General.
In 2013, Colin was then elected onto the Board of International Esports Federation (IESF). In 2018, during his second term on the Board, Colin was then elected as President of IESF which lasted until 2020 and still serves as a Board Member.
Johan van Breda shall be a panelist in Session 2. Johan van breda is experienced as an international esports athlete, administrator, coach, umpire, official, team manager and entrepreneur - it is fair to say that Johan has experience in every asset of the esports industry. For the last demi-decade, his primary focus has been to address the issues at grassroots esports athlete development with a focus on scholastic and collegiate esports. In his efforts, he has co-founded ZAG Academy and the United States Esports Academy. Currently, he serves as the Vice President of Mind Sports South Africa and as a board member for the Confederation of African Esports.
