Important notice - 11th Online School Championships - 6 March 2021.

Northcliff High School grabbed the 'lion's share' of titles at MSSA's 2020 10th Annual Online Championships for High Schools.
With the huge influx of interest from schools around the country in affiliating to Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) and with MSSA being cognizant of the  pressures on Educators with many of the schools only reopening on 15 February 2021, MSSA has taken the decision to delay its 11th Online School Championships to 6 March 2021.

Such decision allows MSSA to process thye many new applications for affiliation as well as to allow schools additional time to prepare their teams.

MSSA's School Online Championships is South Africa's largest official online championship. It is an event that lasts from 10H00 until 18H00 and has proved itself to be a most enjoyable event.

At thy call we shall not falter.

Dr. Janine Brandt (seen here at IESF's 2019 edition of GEES) is but one of the brave medical professionnals in the front line.
Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) commends the actions of all medical staff and volunteers in their fight against COVID-19.

The fight against COVID-19 is without doubt, a war. A war that threatens not on group of people, but all peoples.

Thus the way in which the fight against this new invader must, as being done by the British government, be handled in the same way as any other invasion by any other aggressor.

Because we cannot see this aggressor, the COVID-19 virus must be reated with even  greater care as its attacks within the very core of society and does not discriminate on any basis.

Yet it is the health care professionals and volunteers that face the greatest risks every day as they battle this unseen enemy.

It is therefore the duty of every person to fight the enemy at all times, as the failure to do so by any one person or any group, could lead to utter ruin and disaster.

The principles of war thus remain true for this epic fight in which we find ourselves embroiled, being:

                                                          • Logistical support
                                                          • Economy of force
                                                          • Unity of command
                                                          • Concentration of Force
                                                          • Maintenance of Reserves
                                                          • The Maintence of Reserves
                                                          • The Maintenance of Morale
                                                          • Selection and Maintenance of Aim.
All South Africans should thus put aside selfish agendas and desires in favour of the greater good to defeat this new enemy.

                                                          Tuesday, 5 December 2017

Mxolisi Lukhele becomes number one ranked player for Street Fighter in SA.

A happy Mxolisi Lukhele (Amplified Rebellion in Sedibeng) with his spoils of war.
Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) held its 31st SA National Championships (SAN) at Fakkel School, on 2 & 3 December 2017.

Veteran, and main contender, Mxolisi Lukhele was there in order to make his bid for the championship.

Nothing, and nobody, stood  in his way as he sliced through all the opposition to earn a perfect score and to take the title of South African Champion in the Street Fighter V esports title, as well as to earn himself National Federation Colours and to become South Africa's top ranked player.

With a commanding lead, Mxolisi has set himself up as the man to beat.
