The 2019 rankings were dominated by Eclipse CS:GO (Eclipse Esports) who had a commanding lead, however, after MSSA's 2019 SA National Championships and MSSA's 2020 Online Schools' Championships Redhill High School have wrestled away pole position of the rankings to to be lsteed as the team to beat in South Africa.
Even with the uncertainty of physical sporting events in the near future, MSSA is still able to continue with its online events which will allow esports athletes to qualify for national team selection for International Esports Federation's 12th World Championships to be held in November 2020 in Eilat, Israel.
Even though Counter-Strike: GO has not been selected as a title for such IESF World Championships, MSSA shall still select a national team which will compete in other events. The current South African rankings for the Counter-Strike: GO esports title is as follows:
