Now that  all the entries are in for IeSF's 8th World Championships - Jakarta, it seems as though only South africa's MSSA takes development seriously.

All too often the public at large hear that eSports is not gender based.

However, only MSSA has consistently delivered teams that consist of both genders since 2012.

This year, 2016, Maryke 'Ykie' Kennard is once again has been selected to represent South Africa in the Protea League of Legends eSports Team.

No other country has a single  female in their midsts.

Maryke is without doubt, one of South Africa's best gamers, and we all know, that Maryke will  do us all proud.

SA's female participation in previous IeSF World Championships is:

Year Venue Athletes
2015 Seoul –  South Korea Maryke Kennard
2014 Baku –  Azerbaijan Morizane Boyes, Yolande Williams
2013 Bucharest –  Romania Lyrene Kűhn, Yolande Williams
