Jonathan Brown (2021 team member, has his sights firmly set on Bali - but is there someone else? |
Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA), the world's oldest national federation for esports, has confirmed that it has entered its Protea Team that will first play in the African Regional Qualifying events, and if successful at such, at IESF's World Esports Championships in Bali from late November to early December 2022.
MSSA has participated in each and every IESF World Championships since its inception in 2009. South African teams have over the years punched well above their weight and have never disgraced the country.
To afford South African athletes every opportunity to excel on an international stage, MSSA has entered a team into each and every game title, being:
- Counter-Strike: GO
- Counter-Strike: GO (female)
- DotA 2
- eFootball
- Mobile Legends - Bang Bang
- PUBG Mobile
- Tekken 7
Member clubs are thus entreated to utilize all the different events under MSSA's control (Ladder, Derby, Regional, and National Championships) to get their teams to qualify for the National Team Trials to be held this year.
