Mxolisi has gone on to dethrone many of the players who dominated the esports title of Street Fighter V.
However, at MSSA's 36th Gauteng Provincial Championships held at Northcliff High School on 24 February 2018, Mxolisi found that he too was under challenge.
The challenge was lead by Lebogang Phoshoko (Cape Town Mind sports) who not only won the championship, but won every single game that he played. Lebogang's victory edged Mxolisi into an unexpected second place, but was not enough to dethrone Mxolisi from the top of the rankings.
Father and son team (Leonard and Joost Loftus) are now sandwiched between the two rivals on the ranking, and will no doubt have to face off against both Mxolisi and Lebogang.
Without doubt, the 2018 season seems as though it is going to be the best season yet as the players fight for ultimate supremacy.
