CATHSSETA has called for nominations from suitable candidates to serve on the CATHSSETA board for years 2018 – 2020. The term of the office for the current Board will expire on 31 March 2017 and the fore the Minister of Higher Education and Training needs to appoint suitable candidates from relevant CATHSSETA subsectors. These candidates need to represent organised labour, ogarnised employers, civil society and other role players, as per the SETA constitution.
The Minister will consider candidates with proven experience in fostering good governance, understanding of the legislative and policy framework applicable to CATHSSETA as well as the government policies and the plans applicable to the CATHSSETA subsectors. Nominated representatives from CATHSSETA subsectors should have competencies in one or more of the following disciplines:
- Application of corporate governance and ethics
- Skills development legislation and the NSDS III
- The public Finance Management Act
- Financial management
- Education, training, and human resources development, and
- Quality assurance of learning provision
Nominations must contain a full motivation, the full name and address of the candidates, a signed nomination form and acceptable of the nomination by the nominee, an ID Copy and Curriculum Vitae of the nominee.
Candidates will be subjected to security clearance and disclosure of business interest. Correspondence will be limited to short-listed candidates only.
