At the recent Mind Sports South Africa's 23rd KWAZULU NATAL Championships, Westville Boys' was pipped at the post by Maritzburg College to finish in second place.

However, MSSA's grueling online school league saw a very different side of the CounterStrike: GO esports team from Westville  Boys' High School.
Westville  Boys' High School started strong and defeated PG16 (Parklands College), The Nerd Herd (Glenwood House), MC GO1 (Maritzburg College), and Alerion Gaming (Parklands College) in quick succession.

It was District_Zero (Protea Heights Academy) who, in the  fifth and final round, fought hard against Westville and forced a draw.

However, Westville Boys' only needed a draw to win the league.

Not only has the team won the online league, but the team has also booked its berth in the 2018 National Team Trials along with the teams that have finished in second, third, and fourth place.
