Maritzburg College has shown a huge improvement in esports over the past few years, and it is mostly due to the enthusiasm and dedication of none  other  than Alwyn van Wyk.

Under Alwyn van Wyk's guidance, esports at Maritzburg College is beginning to show fruit.

Alwyn too hosted a successful 2016 KZN Provincial Championship at the school.

Thus, MSSA has co-opted Alwyn to be the KZN Provincial Director.

While holding the position, Alwyn shall:

• Be the Tournament Director for MSSA events in KwaZulu Natal, and
• Be responsible for selecting the provincial teams for all the disciplines that fall under MSSA's jurisdiction, and
• Be the Provincial Team Manager for such teams.

It should be noted that MSSA's inter-provincial test matches reach over one million South Africans, and that with Alwyn at the helm, KwaZulu Natal will become a force with which to be reckoned.
