In with the new guard - Senior Tekken rankings.

For a number of years the Tekken rankings were dominated by Baber Abbas (of Knights Mind Sports Club).

However, with the growth of gaming at school level, the sheer number of learners now participating has at last translated itself into an improved standard of play.

Thus the old champions have been dethroned and five scholars are now ranked in the top ten.

Gawie Fick (Fakket School) deservedly takes the number one spot, Gawie has proved his persistence and dedication by attending more championships than anyone else (except for Connor Chaplin). The hard work and competition experience has shown remarkable results with him climbing up the rankings in spectacular style.

Of special interest is young Ms. Nadine Swart (HTS Witbank) who is now ranked in second place in the country.

In fact it is most pleasing to see that there are now two females ranked in the top ten (numbers 2 and 7), with another three in the next ten places (11, 12, and 16).

However, there must be something in the water in Witbank as all five females in the top twenty all reside in Witbank.
