Two more exciting events in July 2020.

Esports athletes from around SA 
Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) has not slowed down despite the vicious onslaught of COVID-19. No matter what those in denial may say, many MSSA officials are of the opinion that COVID-19 is here to stay, and we all will have to adjust our lifestyles to live with the disease - no matter how unpleasant that may be.

Fortunately, active, official competitive esports championships can still be held if all cxoncerned work together.

Restrictions on face-to-face championships still continue that will have to see new rules to be formulated to ensure that such events can be held under current restrictions imposed by government regulation.

Nevertheless, MSSA shall be holding two more events in in July 2020. The other two events are:

Both events allow players to qualify for national selection to South Africa's official National Protea Esports Team.

Being a member of the Protea Esports Team allows athletes opportunities that are oft undreamed of by those not well acquainted with sport. Receiving Protea Colours not only helps the athlete to enter the first rung of international competition, but also enables the athlete to obtain bursaries at university, and also obtain employment.
