Getting ready for 2021.

Johan van Breda (MSSA Vice-President) and Amanda Pakade (MSSA President) have provided stable leadership.

What a year 2020 has been to date...

Who would have thought that as people roused themselves on New Year Day that the year would disintegrate due to the onslaught of COVID-19.

Even though the scourge raced across the globe, Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) kept its activities going where possible by converting as much as possible to online events.

The online provincial championships did not replace the face-to-face events. The online events were supplementary events, held to assist both MSSA and its athletes. As soon as conditions permit, the physical championships shall be held, which, will no doubt delight all.

Nevertheless, the provincial online championships have been quite successful and a number of member clubs have requested MSSA to retain such championships in 2021.

As per MSSA's Regulations, MSSA's Board is required to present its draft of its Calendar of Events for the next year every August.

The Board therefore requests all athletes to advise their clubs, to which they are affiliated, what events they want to see in 2021.
