Important revision apropos National Team Trials for eSports.

Gamers at MSSA's 2016 National Team Trials.

MSSA's Management Board has made an important amendment to the 2017 Calendar of Events.

Initially, and for several years now, National Team Trials have been held over one day.

With MSSA's teams having performed well at IeSF's World Championships, resulting in South Africa being ranked 14th in the world, the Management Board wishes to build on such successes in order to deliver even better results. It should be noted that the best world ranking that a South African club team has ever attained is a ranking of only 90th.

The two day event will allow for greater drug-testing by South African Institute for Drug Free Sport (SAIDS) as well as allow MSSA's Selectors to make a more comprehensive decision.

All players should note the criteria to earn a 'spot' at NTT, being:

• All Players that score within the top 20% or top three places, whichever is greater, in a specific Period at a Provincial or National Championship will earn an invitation to National Team Trials. National Team Trials shall be held in the event that a National Team must be selected to represent South Africa when competing in such Period (title) in an International Championship.
