League of Legends: Hoërskool Wonderboom takes charge.

Team Fuga Dracones (Hoërskool Wonderboom) at MSSA's 2017 Gauteng Championships.

Although it is only Hoërskool Wonderboom's first year of participating in official esports  events, the school esports team has brought to MSSA all the standards which the school espouses.

Under the astute direction of Andreas Smith, the school team has fought against the established status quo and has come out on top.

The school this year alone is currently ranked in third place in the official club ranking (which takes  all private, university, and school clubs into account), and the school's team Fuga Dracones has finished in the following positions:

• Gauteng Championships - 2nd in the Premier division,
• Online Schools Championships - 1st place
• Online Provincial Championships - 5th in the Premier division, and 1st High School.

The seeding points are worked out according to how well a team does against its opponents.

This  is the first time in MSSA's history that a school team has snatched the top position in the League of Legends game title.

However, it will be interesting to see if the school can hold onto its position with the VexxedPhoenix club having three teams on the heels of the young school team.
