Development takes forethought and buy-in.

Gamers sometimes wonder why MSSA cannot just select national teams to represent South Africa on a whim.

With Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) being a National Federation, it is more than just being a club.

MSSA must comply not only to a number of Acts of Parliament, but to the rules of the National Federations to which it is affiliated, as well as to its own rules as well.

As such to create a team requires a fair amount of planning. It requires forethought in order to create the rules required that will ensure transparency, good governance, and fairness.

Thus at times as though MSSA may move a little slowly, but it is through the members of the Management Board applying their minds that the outcomes, and unexpected outcomes, are considered in order to ensure the sustainability of any development project.

Also, any project starts at ground zero. Without all the steps being done, players cannot expect immediate gratification. The popularity and buy-in by registered players of the project will always affect the final outcome.

The more registered players participating in any such development project, the greater the chances of success.
