For our children's children...

.
So, Youth Day on 16 June 2021 has come and gone. On the holiday the same old rhetoric was made and many people and organizations were backward-looking.

Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA), however, has a different approach.

MSSA likes to use the opportunity to look forward to see what it can do for the youth who are engaged in its activities, be it board games, esports, robotics, and/or wargames.

Through participation in MSSA events, the youth are able to earn Regional, Provincial, National, and Protea Colours, in both school, student, and for senior levels, for all of the games falling under MSSA's jurisdiction.

Such colours are vital for scholars and students to earn bursaries as athletes at schools, colleges, and universities.

It is through the system of offering colours that MSSA has created an upward ladder through which the youth may obtain a higher level of education in order to become more productive members of the community and better taxpayers.

It is through providing real opportunities for the youth that the sustainability of the sport is ensured, that the future of the youth is fostered, and that a greater income earning potential for athletes is created.
